The content library is your media vault: you store everything you regularly send to your customers (product photos, catalogs, demo videos, audios, links…) to reuse them in one click from the chat or templates.
Once content is added, you can insert it into any WhatsApp conversation — without re-uploading every time.

Why use it

  • ⏱️ Time savings: no need to search for a file on your computer every time
  • 📂 Everything in one place: a shared reference for the whole team
  • ♻️ Consistency: everyone sends the same visuals to customers
  • 🏷️ Organization: categories and tags to find quickly

Add content

1

Go to Message library

From the navigation: Message libraryContent library tab.
2

Click 'New content'

An add window opens.
3

Choose the type

Text, image, video, audio, document or link.
4

Upload or enter

  • For a medium: drag and drop the file or click to browse
  • For text: type the message directly
  • For a link: paste the URL
5

Give a title and description

Short and descriptive (e.g. “Summer 2026 catalog — bags”). It’s what appears in the search list.
6

Place in a category

Choose an existing category or create a new one (e.g. “Products”, “After-sales”, “Promotions”).
7

Add tags (optional)

To facilitate search (e.g. summer, new, best-seller).
8

Save

The content is available immediately for the whole team.

Organize: categories and tags

One category per content. Used to logically group your content.Examples of common categories:
  • Products
  • After-sales / Customer service
  • Promotions
  • Legal documents
  • Standard replies

Use content

From a conversation

1

Open a conversation

In the chat, open the discussion with a customer.
2

Click the Library icon

In the composition bar, the folder icon opens your library.
3

Search or browse

Filter by category, type a keyword, or browse tags.
4

Insert in one click

Click the content — it’s sent immediately (or added to your current message, depending on type).

From a Meta template

When you create a Meta template with a media header, you can pick the image, video or document directly from the library — no need to re-upload.

Content statuses

Each content has a status:
StatusWhat it means
DraftIn preparation, not yet usable
ActiveAvailable for the whole team
ArchivedHidden from the list but kept for history
Archive (instead of deleting) content you no longer use but want to find later. Your old messages remain valid.

Content preview

Before sending content, you can open it in preview: see how it will display on the customer side (image, file size, video duration, etc.).

Best practices

  • Name clearly your content to find it quickly
  • Use categories to structure (Products, After-sales, Promotions…)
  • Compress media before upload (images < 2 MB, videos < 16 MB recommended by Meta)
  • Archive rather than delete to keep history
  • Avoid storing temporary files (a one-shot story visual…) — the library is made for what you reuse
